The reason that people can not pay their mortgages is because of job losses. However if one travels to Communist China the picture is very different. There is much prosperity there. The economy is booming and construction is everywhere. How many times did you hear Mitch McConnell talk about the developing economies of China and India? When she was with the Heritage Foundation Elaine Chao talked about the need to view Communist China as an investment opportunity rather than an adversary. In addition, according to July 2007 Parade Magazine Elaine Chao said that the American worker had hygiene problems and needed anger management classes. This is Mitch McConnell’s wife. Senator Reid, there are now 57 seats in the Senate held by Democrats and that may increase to 58 if Joe Lieberman rejoins the Democrats. May I point out that the people of Western Kentucky thumbed their nose and the Democratic Majority in the Senate and elected Mitch McConnell again. Make no mistake about it, Mitch McConnell will hold up progress for the American People if he can. There needs to be a program to filibuster any bill the Mitch McConnell supports. In case any of the undetermined Senatorial elections do not yield additional Democratic Seats, the Democratic majority needs to search out independents and any one else to bring cloture to any bill that Mitch McConnell opposes.
