HTML clipboardYesterday Henry Paulson, United States Treasury Secretary, held a press conference at 11:00am EDT on a Sunday morning to tell us, the tax payers, we’re going to take over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and their $5.4 trillion worth of home debt - half the mortgage debt in the country. This was a well choreographed press conference, at 11:00am EDT Sunday morning when a large portion of the Eastern and Central U.S. were either in church or on their way to church and the folks out on the west Coast were still in bed or just getting up. In the meanwhile Republican Gov. Charlie Crist was holding a press conference at the very same time about hurricane Ike, what a coincidence.
Our government is potentially putting us $5.4 trillion in debt and they hold a press conference at 11:00 am EDT on a Sunday?
Well the good news is we don’t have to worry about the terrorist destroying the United states, because George W. Bush and his banking pals are beating them to the punch, oh by the way let’s don’t forget John McCain (the Keating Five ) or his son Andrew K. McCain .
Now you would think that someone would go to jail over this mess, but these folks have raked in some serious money. Fannie Mae CEO Daniel Mudd reaped a 7 percent rise in pay to $13.4 million in 2007 while the company lost $2.1 billion and its shared fell 33%. How would you like to have a job like that?
Using a pay-disclosure measure that the SEC prefers, which treats the value of stock and options differently, Freddie Mac chief Richard Syron ‘s pay for 2007 was $18.3 million , up 24% from 2006. That ain’t bad either.
It’s really hard to believe the conservatives are for socialized Health Care banking, but seeing is believing!
How about it Senator Mitch McConnell , are you a socialist?
Opinion:
OK, I’m pissed, folks like Andrew K. McCain, son of John McCain, in my opinion, are nothing more than greedy lazy ass slackers that sit on big bank boards, draw big pay checks and then expect us to bail their asses out when they screw up. That’s corporate welfare and these folks are the "baby mommas" of the 21st century. I suggest the lazy ass greedy slacker bankers like Andrew K. McCain have done more damage to the American economy than the terrorist they want us to focus on while they talk the Jesus talk and line their pockets with our money. That’s unpatriotic, I don’t give a shit how many "I support the troop ribbons" they have on the trunk of their cars!!
The latest bank to fail is Silver State Bank and Andrew K. McCain, John McCain’s son, sat on Silver State’s board in February and served on the audit committee, bank regulatory filings show. Andrew K. McCain, is also the chief financial officer of Hensley & Co., the beer distributorship of which Cindy McCain is chairwoman .
He resigned in July due to "personal reasons," the bank said. He previously served as a director of Choice Bank in Scottsdale, Arizona, from 2006 to April 2008 when Choice Bank merged with Silver State .
His involvement in the bank during the current credit and housing problems is a reminder of his father’s alleged role in the massive savings and loans scandal decades ago.
In the late 1980s John McCain was one of five senators known as the "Keating Five." They were investigated by Congress over their alleged roles in the crisis, which resulted in a U.S. taxpayer bailout.
It’s a shame that Senator Mitch McConnell supports this bunch of lazy ass greedy slacker, 21st century "baby mommas" that are destroying the "American way of life" and is willing to bail them and their pals out with our tax dollars while denying children healthcare "SCHIP" , voting against senior citizens on Medicare and Medicare Part D .
How can Senator Mitch McConnell claim to be a patriot when he supports the lazy ass greedy slacker, 21st century "baby momma" banking community that is destroying the "American way of life" and foreclosing on the troops he claims to support? Senator Mitch McConnell a patriot I don’t think so he’s just another, unpatriotic, lazy ass greedy slacker!!!!!!!!

For those that might think I’m a Muslim basher, click here and here and see what I have to say about those claiming to be Christians.
Let me begin by saying I don’t believe Ed. Whitfield is involved with terrorism or supports terrorist, but I’m questioning Mr. Whitfield’s judgment for accepting campaign contributions from the following:
Khaled Saffuri : Made a $1000 contribution to Ed. Whitfield . (FRONTPAGEMAG.COM ) The founding director of Grover Norquist’s Islamic Institute , Khaled Saffuri, is a Muslim Palestinian by birth. Prior to joining Alamoudi’s group (where he served for almost three years), Saffuri was active in Muslim-support operations in Bosnia, a hot-bed for Islamic radicals from Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere anxious to establish a beachhead on the continent of Europe. In recent years, he has acknowledged personally supporting the families of suicide bombers – even though, in public settings, he strenuously denies having done so. He denounced President Bush for shutting down the Holy Land Foundation, a Saudi charity that the U.S. government determined was funneling American Muslims’ donations to terrorist organizations overseas.
Saffuri had also arranged for the Bush campaign to enlist Sami al-Arian , a well-known Florida-based activist – despite the fact that the professor made little secret of his radical Islamist sympathies – to help engender Muslim support in his state. A photograph of Mr. Bush taken with al-Arian in March 2000 subsequently received considerable attention after the professor was arrested 40 terrorism-related counts. Of particular concern are those alleging his functional direction over the past 19 years of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, one of the most murderous terrorist organizations in the Middle East.
Grover Norquist : Made a $250 contribution to Ed. Whitfield . (FRONTPAGEMAG.COM ) Grover Norquist has formed alliances with prominent Islamic radicals who have ties to the Saudis and to Libya and to Palestine Islamic Jihad, and who are now under indictment by U.S. authorities. Equally troubling is that the arrests of these individuals and their exposure as agents of terrorism have not resulted in noticeable second thoughts on Grover’s part or any meaningful effort to dissociate himself from his unsavory friends.
The association between Grover Norquist and Islamists appears to have started in 1998, when he became the founding chairman of an organization called the Islamic Free Market Institute, better known as the Islamic Institute. The Institute’s stated purpose was to cultivate Muslim-Americans and Arab-Americans whose attachment to conservative family values and capitalism made them potential allies for the Republican Party in advance of the 2000 presidential election.
It seems unlikely that even in Alamoudi’s wildest dreams he could have imagined the extent of the access, influence and legitimacy the American Muslim Council and allied Islamist organizations would be able to secure in Republican circles, thanks to the investment they began in 1998 in a relationship with Norquist. Alamoudi and Norquist
The investment began when Alamoudi wrote two personal checks (a $10,000 loan and what appears to be a $10,000 gift) to help found Norquist’s Islamic Institute . In addition, Alamoudi made payments in 2000 and 2001 totaling $50,000 to Janus-Merritt Strategies, a lobbying firm with which Norquist was associated at the time.
Click here to view a short video of Abdulrahman Alamoudi speaking at Lafayette Park, in Washington D.C. October 28, 2000. Ed. Whitfield has also taken two trips to Qatar, in 2002 sponsored by the Islamic Institute and 2005 also sponsored by the Islamic Institute . Good judgment? You decide.
The Senate Judiciary Committee subpoenaed the White House and Vice President Dick Cheney’s office Wednesday for documents relating to President Bush’s warrant-free eavesdropping program.
Also named in subpoenas signed by committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., were the Justice Department and the National Security Council.
The committee wants documents that might shed light on internal squabbles within the administration over the legality of the program, said a congressional official speaking on condition of anonymity because the subpoenas had not been made public.
I suggest when government officials like U.S. Attorney Mauskopf tell us the following, they are lying, or they don’t know what they are talking about — and neither should be acceptable.
U.S. Attorney Mauskopf: “The defendants are charged with conspiring to bomb one of the busiest airports in the United States, located in one of the most densely populated areas in the northeast - had the plot been carried out, it could have resulted in unfathomable damage, deaths, and destruction.”
I worked in the petrol chemical industry for over 30 years and at one point managed a tank farm similar to the fuel farm supplying JFK International Airport.
A fuel farm has more redundant safety systems than one could imagine (I won’t go into these for obvious reasons). If the alleged terrorist were successful in breaching the fuel supply line to JFK with explosives, the fuel supply to that line would have been shut off immediately with one or more of the redundant safety systems.
Yes, there may have been a fire and fuel supply to JFK would have been interrupted, but would it have resulted in unfathomable damage and deaths? Not a chance.
Just more bull shit from the George W. Bush fear mongering Administration!
