Here in Kentucky we have a real chance to get rid of our toothless obstructionist Senator Mitch McConnell. Yesterday the Bush Legacy Tour bus was in Louisville again. Bill Londrigan had a few things to say about Senator Mitch McConnell and so did his Democratic opponent Bruce Lunsford.
Senator Mitch McConnell had his video tracker there to tape everything anyone had to say. It sure would be nice if Bruce Lunsford would track Senator Mitch McConnell with a video camera, but that would be tough because Senator Mitch McConnell is afraid to appear in public, for fear of public protest. I know this because I’ve tried to get video of him in the following places: Buckner, Ky., Berea, Ky., Louisville, Ky. at the Olmsted BOO-LA-LA Fete D’Halloween gala and even at his own home but the chickenshit Senator from Kentucky sneaks in and out of these venues avoiding his constituents.
Bruce Lunsford has a real chance to defeat Senator Mitch McConnell and this Hillbilly will do everything he can to see that Senator Mitch McConnell and his wife Elaine Chao are exposed for the right wing, necon, Jesus talkin’, evil walkin’, lying, hypocrites they really are.

But with all due respect Mrs. McCain when regular folks get caught obtaining drugs illegally, they get prosecuted and go to jail.
But folks like you Mrs. McCain, with your bus load of lawyers and a Senator husband, can get away with anything even if it’s illegal.
You see Mrs. McCain there’s one set of rules for folks like you and a real crummy set of rules for folks like me.
Mrs. McCain your husband didn’t know you were getting drugs illegally and you were addicted to those drugs, so how can your husband, John McCain, even consider being President of the United States of America when he doesn’t even know what’s going on in his own home??

A press conference was held today just outside of Fort Knox Kentucky for PFC James Burmeister, but the press didn’t show up, just a lowly blogger with a video camera. The Hardin County News Enterprise, for what ever reason didn’t bother to attend the press conference, who knows maybe the don’t work on Saturdays, or could it be they just don’t give a shit about folks like PFC James Burmeister? The Louisville Courier-Journal didn’t attend the press conference, but to their credit they did have an article about PFC James Burmeister today.
The local TV stations WHAS, WLKY and WAVE were noticeably absent.
PFC James Burmeister, I was told upon the advice of his attorney, didn’t attend the press conference, but his mother Helen Burmeister traveled all the way from Oregon to speak and stand up for her son.
James Burmeister was injured in Baghdad when his humvee was caught in an IED explosion. Along with the physical wounds from this attack, James suffers from PTSD as a result of his combat missions, which included providing cover fire for “bait and kill“ teams. After being diagnosed with PTSD and possible traumatic brain injury, James went AWOL, moving to Canada rather than face another deployment. In March of 2008, he decided to return to the US and turned himself in to the Army at Fort Knox.
Last week the Army decided to charge PCF James Burmeister with desertion. James will face a Special Court-Martial, a bad conduct discharge (which would prohibit him from having access to any medical benefits or otherwise for the rest of his life), and up to 12 months of prison. The date of James’ court martial is expected to be set next week.

Americans across the nation demonstrated in favor of guaranteed healthcare and in protest of AHIP — America’s Health Insurance Plans — the insurance industry lobbyists who profit from our pain and folks in Louisville joined in the protest. I put together the video below to give you a flavor of the protest.
It’s sad that John McCain and Senator Mitch McConnell are so out of touch with the needs of the people they are supposed to be representing. It seems that John McCain and Senator Mitch McConnell find it easer to represent the over paid healthcare CEO’s than the folks who were out on the streets protesting today.

Frankfort, May 23, 2008—Party leaders and former candidates
gathered at Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Headquarters to pledge their support
for United States Senate Nominee Bruce Lunsford.
Governor Steve Beshear, KDP Chair Jennifer Moore, Attorney General Jack
Conway, Auditor Crit Luallen, and Treasurer Todd Hollenbach were joined by
Lunsford’s primary opponents Greg Fischer and representatives of Michael
Cassaro’s campaign. Andrew Horne was also in attendance.
“We are embarking on an exciting six months,” said Governor Beshear. “We
have the opportunity for real change in Kentucky and across the United States.”
While unable to attend, his other primary opponents have also pledged
their full support for Lunsford’s campaign to unseat Senator Mitch McConnell.
“We cannot afford six more years of Mitch McConnell,” said Moore. “We
cannot afford to send back to Washington a senator who values gamesmanship over
statesmanship.”
Greg Fischer pledged his support for the Lunsford campaign. “Today there
are no differences, it’s time to come together as a party and return Mitch
McConnell to the private sector.”
Lunsford expressed his thanks to his primary opponents for embracing his
campaign and emphasized the need reverse the failed policies embraced by Mitch
McConnell.
“It’s time we stop squandering the wealth and prestige of this nation
internationally,” said Lunsford.

Remember Heather Ryan, well she gave one helluva speech at the Ned Breathitt Day Dinner, In Hopkinsville, Kentucky yesterday.
Heather Ryan, in the opinion of this writer, has been shit on by the Right Wing Neocons in Paducah, Kentucky and it’s time for “Yellow Dog” Democrats” all across Kentucky to stand up for this young lady and help her in her quest to out Congressman Ed. Whitfield.
I believe the right wing neocons in Paducah tried to label Heather and her daughter Heaven as two crazy females, but I’m here to tell you that Heather is anything but crazy and her daughter Heaven is one well behaved child.
My question for Western Kentucky Democrats is this: “Which Side Are You On“?

Who would of thought, right here in Red State Kentucky people would line up for blocks to to see Barack Obama?
I can tell you it occurred and and I have photos and video to prove it.

The event attracted so many Kentucky folks that a 1000 seat overflow was set up with closed circuit TV, but that was not enough. Some folks still had to be turned away.
I’m a 68 year old man and I’m here to tell you that what occurred here in Kentucky was a “Happening“, or as a person my age might call a “Hootenanny” bigger and better than anything I’ve ever seen here in Kentucky!!!!

I plan to have Hillary Clinton’s speech at the fund raiser up by Sunday morning.
We also did a interview with Heather Ryan , Democratic Candidate for Kentucky’s 1st Congressional seat, at the event and I plan to have that clip up by Sunday morning.

I’m new to learning how to upload and use UTube but I liked your commentry about what I would do if i were terrorist so I asked you (under comments) if there was any problem with uploading video of my cat with him listening to you or any other person such as Michael Moore, Jon Stewart, etc. I didn’t know I could send message here.
I see I can attach the video and do you like the title? “Cat listens to News Commentary” and then I credited it to Hillbilly and Pence where I assume it originated from? Your video is also listed under my favorites and I subscribed too which I’m not sure what that means. All my other videos are listed under pets and animals but I put this under News etc.
So do u have any problem with that and is there any copywrite infringement? I have had 15 views but no comments. It was my first attempt to get some attention to this interesting POV and wasn’t sure how to title it. Please help. Thanks. (chellamia)
