David Hawpe in the Courier-Journal today dropped the name of a new potential Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2008. I read it this morning, but since I was holding class for the first time today at 10:30am, it didn’t sink in until about 6pm that it’s significant enough a development to merit its own post. Here’s what Hawpe had to say:

Some say he could be attacked as a liquor baron, but then McConnell has taken loads of contributions from the Brown family over the years.)
