Mitch McConnell Praises Karl Rove As He Resigns In Disgrace
The Hound Dog August 13th, 2007
Mitch McConnell had more praise his close friend Karl Rove today, as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff announced his resignation. Of course, McConnell talked Rove into hiring his political director Scott Jennings, who it now appears will continue to be investigated along with Rove:
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky also praised Rove’s tenure.
“Karl Rove has made an enormous contribution to our country and our party. Now, as he leaves the White House and turns to new challenges, I wish him and his family well as they begin this new chapter in their lives,” McConnell said.
It is good to see McConnell deciding to embrace family values once again, after skipping his mother-in-law’s funeral a couple weeks ago to hurl insults at his political opponents at Fancy Farm.

“Mitch McConnell Praises Karl Rove As He Resigns In Disgrace” LOL…….you are so funny, nice wording.
Now here is a real disgrace.
Sandy Berger is under scrutiny by the Justice Department following the disappearance of documents he was reviewing at the National Archives.
Berger’s home and office were searched earlier this year by FBI agents armed with warrants after the former Clinton adviser voluntarily returned some sensitive documents to the National Archives and admitted he also removed handwritten notes he had made while reviewing the sensitive documents.
Berger and his lawyer said Monday night he knowingly removed the handwritten notes by placing them in his jacket, pants and socks, and also inadvertently took copies of actual classified documents in a leather portfolio.
Where was your blog on this disgrace?
States
Sept, 2005 News release -
“Former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger was sentenced Thursday to community service and probation and fined $50,000 for illegally removing highly classified documents from the National Archives and intentionally destroying some of them.
Berger must perform 100 hours of community service and pay the fine as well as $6,905 for the administrative costs of his two-year probation, a district court judge ruled…”
Berger was punished for his illegal and yes, extremely stupid and despicable, act. Please note that he was not pardoned or have his sentence commuted by either George or Ernie.
Where were you when both Fletcher and Bush appointees took the Fifth and took a walk?
Where was I……more than likely tending to my tator tot farm. My point was, there were no blogs on Bergers disgrace here……As far as Rove’s retirement. He did a wonderful and masterful job at out maneuvering you libs politically , which makes him a target for the left.
I don’t think this blog existed then - but you were tater tendin’ so you wouldn’t know, would you?
I agree. Karl Rove was a great manipulator. So was Goebbels.
Sorry, this blog did not exist in 2004, SRA2K5. You’ll have to look for another “gotcha” to express your “outrage,” I guess.
“You libs.” Typical. Divert, divert!
Yes, we libs took a terrible beating at the hands of Karl Rove. We control both houses of Congress and the younger generation is leaning Democratic at levels unprecedented since the Great Depression. Ouch. No more Karl Rove, please. He has “THE math,” and all we Democrats have is an upward trend on power.
This is my first comment but I say good riddance. Is Rove going away or just “underground”?
