Republican Group Launches Ad To Thank Mitch McConnell For Sending More Troops To Iraq
The Hound Dog August 9th, 2007
I’m sure Mitch McConnell is thrilled to go into the office today, as the last thing he probably wanted was a group drawing more attention to George W. Bush’s strongest supporter and his decision to send more troops to Iraq:
Republicans, in particular, are desperate to seek political cover on the issue, given public discontent with the war. And these veterans would like to fill what they see as a void in positive news coming out of Iraq.

“I think we ought to give it [Bush's escalation strategy] a chance. The president believes it will succeed. He believes he’s going to have the cooperation of the Iraqis that he needs. And we’ll find out. We’ll find out very shortly. There needs to be progress in this initiative in the very near future.” — Mitch McConnell, Jan 14, 2007
“The president doesn’t have a stronger supporter in the Senate than the person you’re looking at, but I repeat, this is the last chance for the Iraqis to step up and demonstrate this government can function. The message to the Iraqi government could not be more clear.” — Mitch McConnell, Jan 27, 2007
“The most important thing is that you continue in your jihad in Iraq… Indeed, prolonging the war is in our interest, with God’s permission.” –Al Qaeda letter intercepted by Counterterrorism Center at West Point

Bring the troops home. Ditch Mitch. Let’s Ditch Hal Rogers while we are at it.
All indications show that the Troop surge is a success. We know the liberal news media won’t admit this so people need to hear it from somewhere. Sorry Dems, but you’re not going to be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on the Iraq war.
Thank you, I have been seeking for facts about this topic for ages and yours is the best I’ve discovered so far.
