Andrew Horne & VoteVets send a message to U.S. Senators before chamber showdown

Matt Gunterman July 18th, 2007

Lt. Col. Andrew Horne, who is a potential Democratic opponent to obstructionist and Bush-enabler Senator Mitch McConnell, was a strong presence in yesterday evening’s public events leading up to the U.S. Senate showdown that saw Republicans protecting President George W. Bush over our troops.

McConnell has ‘Mitch-slapped’ not only Kentuckians but all Americans. It’s painfully obvious that he will do whatever the White House commands. Still, somewhere along the line there will be some Senate votes tailored to allow the republicans political cover for next year’s elections.

Thank you Lt. Col. Horne for your courage. Well done in the proud tradition of the Marine Corps. A tradition of which McConnell shows little, if any, understanding.
