New DSCC Ad Against McConnell Released

Yesterday, Matt left a post about how Mitch McConnell has become one of the DSCC’s top campaign targets in the ‘08 cycle. This morning the DSCC released their first ad against the Senate Minority Leader as the Senate takes up the debate on Iraq this week.

This ad is a clear signal from the national Democrats that they are serious about taking Mitch McConnell out next year. And, after USA Today ran a huge write up this weekend on McConnell’s vulnerability, there is no question he is in serious trouble.

Here is the ad that will be running in Kentucky this week.

I really like the use of the Bush and McConnell clips without sound. It sort of says, “These guys are talking heads — full of hot air — and no substance. Republicans talk while our soldiers die.”
