DSCC Poll: Kentuckians Overwhelmingly Support Bringing the Troops Home!
Shawn Dixon April 25th, 2007
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee just released new poll numbers that show Kentuckians overwhelmingly support the Democratic plan to set a full-troop withdrawal timeline for the war in Iraq.
From the release:
By a more than two to one margin, Kentucky voters favor the Democratic plan to end the war in Iraq by redeploying U.S. troops within a year, a poll conducted for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee shows.
Would you favor or oppose a plan to begin withdrawing troops from Iraq this summer, and have almost all troops out of Iraq by the middle of next year?
Favor………………………………………………………………………………………. 64%
Oppose…………………………………………………………………………………….. 28%
Don’t know………………………………………………………………………………… 7%
These numbers demonstrate that Senator Mitch McConnell is clearly out of touch with the average Kentuckian. While most in the bluegrass want to see the troops out of Iraq, McConnell continues to be a thoughtless mouthpiece for President Bush’s failed plan for the war.
It seems the Senator needs to be reminded of exactly who he represents!
Thanks to Ted Schlecter at The Bridge for a heads up on these numbers.
