David Boswell Beating Guthrie in Latest Poll.
Jim Pence October 18th, 2008
(Owensboro – KY) Senator David Boswell released a memo from his latest poll, which showed him holding the edge over Brett Guthrie, 41%-40%, with 19% of voters still undecided. The poll was conducted by Garin Hart Yang Research Group on October 8th and 9th.
One other striking finding of the latest campaign poll is that while Brett Guthrie barely holds onto a favorable rating among voters, David Boswell is viewed favorably by more than a two to one margin. Boswell also holds leads on standing up to the special interests, bringing a fresh approach to Washington, and looking out for average families.
"Our polls reflect what we have heard when talking to Kentuckians – in these uncertain times, voters are looking for an experienced and principled candidate, and in this race that candidate is David Boswell," said Mark Riddle – Boswell’s senior strategist and media advisor. Click here to view poll

If you think that Gutherie is bad check out Greg Mankiw. This dirt bag thinks that job exportation is another form of trade. I always thought that trade was a two way ordeal.
I was at an event in Daviess County today (the Apple Festival at Reid’s Orchard just outside of Owensboro) and had the privilege of speaking for a few minutes with Senator Boswell and his lovely wife, Sandi. It was THE bright spot in my day. I’ve only known the Boswells in passing, although Sandi’s sister was one of my very favorite grade school teachers and is still a dear friend.
David Boswell is the genuine article, folks. We owe it to ourselves to send this great Kentucky gentleman to the Congress where he can help solve the problems we face as a nation today. I KNOW he can do it. With our help, he will bring CHANGE to the Second District, and it will be change we desperately need.
By the way, I looked high and low for Brett Guthrie at the festival … if he was there, I never saw him. Am I surprised? No.
There were people wearing Guthrie stickers on their shirts today, but I saw many more of his stickers on the ground, where they were trampled by the masses. Couldn’t help but notice that! It’s a good sign that I saw NO Boswell stickers on the ground whatsoever. All that I saw were proudly on display.
I was at the Apple Festival Saturday morning and Brett Guthrie was there but I didn’t see David Boswell.
