Our good friends over at West Kentucky Journal of Politics (WKJP) are reporting that chickenhawk Ed Whitfield, who backed out of a debate on KET with his opponent Heather Ryan, has sent a pre-taped video message to KET and told them they must run it tonight in place of him showing up for the debate.

What a complete disgrace. This is a man who is asking us to send him back to Congress for the umpteenth time and he doesn’t even have the decency to show up to a debate and talk about his ideas (or lack thereof) for Western Kentuckians. And, even worse, he threatens KET and demands that the video must run without rebuttal because of the fairness doctrine. This is despicable and unbecoming behavior for a U.S. Congressman.

Follow the link above to WKJP and give KET a call and tell them your opinion. Or, call Ed Whitfield’s office and let them know you want the congressman to debate or he won’t get your vote!
