Will Mitch McConnell Suspend His Senate Campaign?
Shawn Dixon September 24th, 2008
Mitch McConnell — who from here on out will never miss an opportunity to tie himself to John McCain who polls better than him in Kentucky — has painted himself into a corner. This afternoon Mitch McConnell called John McCain’s political stunt to suspend his campaign “an outstanding idea.”
Quoted by The Hill McConnell had this to say:
“Sen. McCain has just announced that he is willing to suspend his campaign, set politics aside and sit down with all sides to come to a solution to the looming threats to our economy,” McConnell said. “That’s really an outstanding idea. The threats to Americans and their homes, savings and retirements are really not a partisan problem, and it won’t be fixed with a partisan approach.”
So, Mitch McConnell, if you think this is an outstanding approach and not really a stunt, it only makes sense that you too will suspend your campaign and cancel all appearances and campaign commercials in Kentucky until this “crisis” is solved. Can we take you at your word?
Something tells me that McConnell was being a bit disingenuous in his statement and was really just playing partisan politics in a time that demands genuine leadership. Shame on you, Mitch McConnell. Your doublespeak isn’t going unnoticed.

I’ll bet if you approach Mitch McConnell and asked about this to his face, you would get one of those bug eyed, open mouthed stares with no answer because he is a dishonest idiot.
Will they suspend all fundraising activities?
This is so rich, coming from Mitch “Deregulate, show me the money” McConnell.
Bruce is breathing down his neck and McMoney doesn’t like it!
maybe the FBI will look into all the money Mitch has taken from Wall St. was his vote bought and paid for?
A Campaign Money Watch analysis of campaign finance data from the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics found that Sen. McConnell has received $3,679,725 in political contributions from the banking, insurance and financial services industries since 1989. Part of that sum includes $691,880 from commercial banks, $1,112,732 from the insurance industry and $1,484,912 from the securities and investments industry
