Initiatives and resolutions put an issue directly on the ballot. Since Mitch was the first US Senate candidate to use Roger Ailes to craft his ad campaign years ago, what about a Kentucky Proposition to limit Mitch's ability to become a lobbyist:

Ban Mitch for five years as a lobbyist.
Ban him or his staff from Floor access in the US Capitol.
Ban him from the House and Senate Office Buildings in Washington, DC.
Ban him from representing a foreign government.
Ban him from representing any of the interests he represented as Senator: oil, China, health care. Any other interest you want to add.

Let him have a five year cooling off period. If Kentucky starts the trend, perhaps other states will pick up on it. Remember Proposition 13 in California and Proposition 200 in Arizona.

Heck, this is small potatoes compared to the almost half a TRILLION dollars deficit that the Smirking Chimp Bush has left in his final budget. McConnell and the Republicans have ruined this country. How can a patriotic American actually vote for McConnell???

Mitch Mcconnell's last political ad was a piece of shit. Terrible stuff. I hope he didn't pay anyone to put it together.

There was an interesting program on KPFA AM about the price of oil which aired at 14:00 on July 8, 2008. Dr. Michio Kaku interviews Thomast Mast author of "Over a Barrel" and Dr. David Goodstein author of "Out of Gas". Both of these men seem to think that there my be some over statement of the world's oil reserves to keep investment up in the oil industry. Mitch McConnell says that the United States has 30% of the world oil reserves. Dr. Goodstein says that the United States only has 2% to 3% of the world oil reserves. Perhaps McConnell’s claims will cause higher investments in oil companies and create more jobs, but I doubt that there is that much more oil to be found. The link to listen is: http://aud1.kpfa.org//data/20080708-Tue1400.mp3
