Americans across the nation demonstrated in favor of guaranteed healthcare and in protest of AHIP — America’s Health Insurance Plans — the insurance industry lobbyists who profit from our pain and folks in Louisville joined in the protest. I put together the video below to give you a flavor of the protest.
It’s sad that John McCain and Senator Mitch McConnell are so out of touch with the needs of the people they are supposed to be representing. It seems that John McCain and Senator Mitch McConnell find it easer to represent the over paid healthcare CEO’s than the folks who were out on the streets protesting today.

BRUCE LUNSFORD wants us to have universal health care:
My agenda could not be more different than that of the Republican Minority Leader. I want to help make universal health care a reality while he votes against SCHIP. I want to redeploy our troops from Iraq while he continues to write Bush a blank check for the war. I want to get our economy back on track by giving tax breaks to the middle class and protecting American jobs while he wants to extend tax cuts for the wealthy and votes to give companies tax breaks to ship jobs overseas. I want to hold the big oil companies accountable and make them pay their fair share while he is in the pocket of Big Oil and blocks action that would give consumers immediate relief. It is time for him to go.
If you really want to see what is wrong with the medical profession do some research on Bill Frist of Tennessee the state that I was born in and lived the first 33 years of my life in. Some people are doctors because they love helping people and the profession and then there are the greedy ones. Thanks for your time and effort Jim, maybe this country will get straightened out this November.
