Oh wow this was better than an F.E.C Report that was due April 15: http://www.fec.gov/DisclosureSearch/HSRefreshCandList.do?category=stateH_dem&stateName=KY
Here I was thinking you had to report campaign funds raised to the F.E.C but I was looking in the wrong place. I guess in 2008 Federal Campaigns report campaign funds to You Tube.
I wonder if R.Democrat won the pizza party or the out of district prize DVD of “Heather Gone Wild”.
By the way the Ryan for Congress F.E.C. report still reads $0 almost 30 days after the due date. Campaigns really do have to report to the F.E.C as much fun as You Tube is.
Heather won’t have to worry about traveling to “Dragon’s Tail” of Kentucky One if she does not report to the F.E.C. because she will be in the “Castle” over in Eddyville.

  3. Jimon 13 May 2008 at 10:15 pm

    To TriStateAreasVoice Says:,
Are you familiar with the “Castle” over in Eddyville?
If so tell us about your experiences there!

  4. TriStateAreasVoiceon 14 May 2008 at 8:07 am

Sorry Jim I have not been to the state prision in Eddyville.

I just don’t understand how the aggressive progressive candidate who claims she is all about public records and openess has failed to file an F.E.C. report.

Ryan for Congress is now 30 days late in reporting to the F.E.C. Every candidate in KY running for Congress filed by April 15. Yet Ryan for Congress still has a big $0 for their report. Where is the report?

She pubically states in the video in this blog she just got $1,500. So it is public record her campaign has raised money. That has to be reported.

I can only imagine if Jeff Davis, Hal Rogers, Ed Whitfield, Bret Guthrie, Anne Northrup or Mitch McConnell had faild to file their F.E.C reports the Hill Billy Report would have been reporting on it at 12:00 am on April 16.

It sure would be nice to see what Ryan for Congress is spending money on.

What is this about spending out of pocket? All spending and donations have to be reported for public record. Where is the Ryan for Congress F.E.C report??????

1 Generally, an individual becomes a candidate for federal office (and thus triggers registration and reporting obligations) when his or her campaign exceeds $5,000 in either contributions or expenditures. If the campaign has not crossed the $5,000 threshold, it is not required to file reports. See also 11 CFR 100.3(a).

So your saying Heather Ryan has not raised $5,000? How can this be? I thought she was such a popular progressive. Are you sure she has not raised $5,000?

    Panic at the House::: LOL
    By Daniel Politi
Posted Thursday, May 15, 2008, at 6:11 AM ET

The New York Times leads with a look at the panic that set in among Republicans yesterday after their candidate lost a special congressional election in Mississippi. It marked the third-straight loss for a Republican-held seat this year, and GOP leaders are scrambling to figure out how they can prevent getting trounced in November. “The political atmosphere facing House Republicans this November is the worst since Watergate,” Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia wrote in a memorandum.

  12. TriStateAreasVoiceon 15 May 2008 at 10:56 am

There is no doubt the GOP is faltering on the National scale in the specail elections. That does not mean voters in Kentucky One, Two or Five are going to vote for liberals this fall.

Heather Ryan in Kentucky One has zero endorsements from public elected officials. She has zero public accomplishements. Where is her support amoung the party faithful? Its not there.

In this video she is at a big Democrat event and has to wear a bumper sticker in hopes some Dem big wig might say hey there is that wonderful progressive Heather Ryan. Maybe just maybe the big wig will get her thousands of dollars.

Truth is she has to wear the bumper sticker because no one knows who she is in her own party.

Who is going to vote for or give money to some one who is wearing a bumper sticker on their shirt? That looks like a real winner.

Again I ask hasn’t Heather Ryan raised $5,000?

Watching her videos it would seem so. By her public accounts she has raised a total of $5,675.

$500 given to her to file to run for Congress.

$905 raised through her websites link to Act Blue.

$2,770 raised through other Act Blue links.

    $1,500 raised through R.Democrat

Plus who knows what other under the table gifts have been given to her.

So has she raised and spent $5,000 or is she misleading the public on her totals? Which is it? I am sure the FEC can find out.

  13. kilowaton 15 May 2008 at 11:46 am

so why may I ask are you so obsessed with her running? are you that sick.
EXXON Eddie with his 1 million dollars want even have to
come out GREENBRIER WHITE SULPHUR SPRING WV…………..

  14. TriStateAreasVoiceon 15 May 2008 at 9:09 pm

Why would I be sick? As a voter I want to know why the Democrat candidate has not filed an FEC report?

The candidate is giving conflicting information. In web videos she says the money is rolling in yet. Yet when it is time to report to a Federal agency then there is nothing?

It looks like there is something to hide. You seem to enjoy running through Republican candidates FEC reports and disclosures. Why is not ok for others to see Heather Ryan’s activities and spending???????

Why is it sick to ask this simple question. Why are you so obsessed with calling people names and making up lies? Maybe we need to start calling referring to the KY One Democrat candidate as Jail House Heather.

How about this Jail House Heather makes kids think they are on heroin at pizza party.

So why may I ask are you so obsessed with her running?

    Don’t feed the trolls!

  19. TriStateAreasVoiceon 16 May 2008 at 6:41 pm

We can play the FEC game all day.

Hillary Clinton took $18,000 in donnations from Exxon Mobile

Barack Obama has taken $15,000 in Exxon Mobile funds.

Nancy Pelesio took $10,000 in Wells Fargo PAC money when she has $1,000,0000 or more in Wells Fargo stock.

The problem is we do not know where Heather Ryan’s money is coming from with out an FEC report. Is her $2770 or $5675 or what ever was raised collected from people in Kentucy or is it from Louisville outside the congressional district or is from Washington, D.C. , Maryland, Iowa or California?

  20. Kevinon 17 May 2008 at 1:24 pm

I think that it funny that it takes someone who is opposed to Heather Ryan to start the comment section after a video that supports her. I do not think that the die hard democrats on this site admire Heather Ryan because I do not recall reading a single comment that states why she is a great canidate for the first district. Everything that I have seen on here has been opposed to Ed Whitfield because he is a republican.

I am waiting on the comments that tell why I should vote for Heather Ryan. I do not want to hear comments on why I should vote against Ed Whitfield. Why will she make a good representative for the first district? I figure that this will be a short list or maybe there will not be a list at all.

  21. Jimon 17 May 2008 at 1:32 pm

    Kevin Says:
If you’re a Democrat that’s satisfied with Ed. Whitfield, then vote for him.
But, it seems to me that you are giving Whitfield a pass that you are not willing to give Heather Ryan.
    Jim

  22. Kevinon 17 May 2008 at 1:50 pm

    Jim,
I have seen the way that Whitfield has helped the first repsonders, USEC, and local college in our district. I would like to know the qualifications that Ms. Ryan has. Yes, I realize that she lives in the first district and she is a citizen of The United States and is of a certain age and all that makes her reach the minimum qualifications to serve in the House of Representatives. Why should I vote for Heather Ryan?

    Kevin

  23. Jimon 17 May 2008 at 2:03 pm

    Kevin,
As a citizen of the United States of America, it’s your responsibility to do your own research. I’ve done mine and I know how I’m going to vote and I suggest you do the same.
After you do your research, then vote your conscience.
You may want to email Heather and ask her, I’m sure she would be more than happy to answer your question.

  24. Kevinon 17 May 2008 at 3:05 pm

    Jim,

This is part of my research. I have found numerous reasons to re-elect Congressman Whitfield. I am struggling to find reasons to vote for Heather Ryan.

I don’t feel like voting for “change” is a good enough reason, by itself, to vote for anyone. I have to have reasons and facts. I don’t want to know why I should vote against someone, but I want to know why I should vote for someone. I have listened to the videos that Ms. Ryan has put out, although there are very few of them. I have seen them all from the encounter with Senator McConnell to the announcement to run for the House to her video dairy entries and I just listened to the edited version of her speech last night on this web site. She always seems to say the same things, over and over.

At this point she has said nothing other than name calling, claim that Ed Whitfield owns stock in Exxon which I don’t think he does, and accuse him of living in Florida, which there is no evidence that I have seen.

look up Joe Harding of Paducah Ky why did it take 25 years
Clara Harding is a resident of Paducah, KY, having moved there in 1951 as a young married woman after her husband, the late Joe T. Harding, got a job working for Union Carbide Nuclear Division in the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP). Mrs. Harding raised her two daughters, Martha and Clara Jo, working as an assistant to Dr. Curley, an oral surgeon to help make family ends meet when her husband’s health deteriorated. She worked longer hours when he was abruptly terminated after 18 years of work by Carbide because of his illnesses. He was fired without insurance, disability or pension benefits.

For the next ten years, Mrs. Harding struggled to help her husband survive, watching his health decline rapidly, and finally losing him to stomach cancer in March, 1980. She has been a first-hand witness to Joe Harding’s on-going struggle to bring to light the truth about the terrible conditions suffered by nuclear weapons workers throughout the country. She and their daughter, Martha Alls, carried on his fight after his death. Clara brought a state workers compensation case for widows benefits in 1983, only to have it dismissed 12 years later for failure to meet the statue of limitations. The order stated that for her to meet the filing deadline, under Kentucky law, she would have had to file her widows case five years before her husband died. In 1997, after fifteen years of legal battle, she settled her claim for a nuisance value of $12,000.

In September of 1999, Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson, came to Paducah and presented her with the Secretary’s Gold Medal, saying that she had put a face on the Cold War. Clara Harding continues to live alone in Paducah on a fixed income, babysitting and doing volunteer work in the community. She enjoys needlepoint and watching C-SPAN. She attends Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah.

    Evidence Mounts in Paducah

    By Joby Warrick
    Washington Post Staff Writer
    Sunday, August 22, 1999; Page A1

The exhumed bones of a long-dead uranium worker have given a powerful boost to current employees’ claims of dangerous exposures inside a government-owned Kentucky plant that supplied radioactive fuel for the nation’s nuclear bombs.
The long-overlooked medical evidence from the case of Joseph Harding suggests that for some workers radiation doses at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant were far higher than previously believed, and may have been dozens of times above federal limits, according to one analysis of the data.

The hazards for uranium workers are further underscored by unpublished research from a sister plant in Tennessee. A draft study of workers at the K-25 plant in Oak Ridge shows unusually high death rates for former uranium workers, as well as sharply higher rates of lung and bone cancers.

The results of Harding’s posthumous tests, conducted as part of a lawsuit in 1983 but never published, offer the strongest corroboration to date of hazardous conditions inside the Paducah plantstrongest corroboration to date of hazardous conditions inside the uranium , where workers labored for decades in a haze of radioactive dust that was sometimes laced with deadly plutonium.

  27. Kevinon 17 May 2008 at 3:39 pm

    Kilo,

I may not be the smartest person, but how does Mrs. Harding’s story tie in with the topic of discussion?

I agree that there a lot of people that have worked at that plant over the years have become very sick as a result of it. They have had hardships that no one deserves. I do believe that they and their families deserve to be compensated for that. If I am not mistaken, don’t Senator McConnell and Congressman Whitfield have a lot to do with that compensation program being available today? Or was it some other person(s) who fought for the creation of this program.

By the way, I am still waiting to hear why I should vote for Heather Ryan.

All this banter proves there is nothing to support Heather Ryan. She has zero public accomplishments. She has no resume.

She knows how to call people names and make up stories. If Ed Whitfield has stock in Exxon lets see the link and if Ed Whitfield has a home in Florida lets see the deed. If Ed Whitfield is a no show why was he in the radio news and print news for being in Ballard County and McCracken County this weekend?

Seems like Ed Whitfield just passed legislation to make the Quilt Museum in Paducah named the National Quilt Museum. That helps Paducah. What has Heather Ryan done to help make Paducah a better place?????????????

Please share. Heather reads this blog so maybe she can make a video about her accomplishments and what she offers to voters beyond made up stories that sound good to her.
