Say WHAT?!?!?

Terri Whitehouse March 14th, 2008

Listen, folks. I know you probably think I’m a big mouth who would never dream of censoring myself, but, really, I do. All the time. Usually, when I write my posts, I have a lot more words under my hat, about half of which are expletives. And it’s hard to reign them in sometimes.

So when President Silver Spoon says this kind of shit, know that I’m biting my tongue so damn hard, it’s a wonder how I’m not tasting blood. Because while President Coke Sniffer was getting drunk and skipping out on his guard duty, some people of his generation were actually “confronting danger.” And while President Dry Drunk was granting permission for Junior Silver Spoon to marry his daughter, some people of my generation were actually “confronting danger.”

And speaking of cowards, well, my opinion of Sen. Mitch McConnell isn’t much different. I’m aghast that some people are so out of touch with reality, living the bourgie life inside the beltway, that they’d have the audacity to udder “war is peace”, without so much as a hint of irony.

These are the assholes that are running this country. Can you even believe it? All that, and only three cuss words. Amazing.

If you want to curse some more, remember these two assholes:

This Sunday will mark the fifth anniversary of Vice President Dick Cheney’s disastrous and uninformed prediction that U.S. troops would be greeted as liberators in Iraq:
CHENEY: Now, I think things have gotten so bad inside Iraq, from the standpoint of the Iraqi people, my belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators. [3/16/03]
That same month — in March 2003 — McCain was parroting the Bush administration’s rosy talk, repeating on many occasions that “we will be greeted as liberators.” Cheney and the administration ignored numerous pre-war intelligence analyses which warned “that the U.S. would face armed resistance from Iraqis following the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime.”
After the war began and an insurgency took hold in Iraq, the two cheerleaders of the Iraq invasion attempted to argue that they had been proven right – that the U.S. was greeted as liberators in Iraq. In Sept. 2003, Cheney told Tim Russert that “we have” been welcomed by “most Iraqis.” And following Cheney’s lead once again, McCain said in Jan. 2007, “We were greeted as liberators,” adding that the Iraq war was “easy.”

As of today, the Department of Defense has confirmed the deaths of 3,973 U.S. soldiers.

January 2007 - “The president doesn’t have a stronger supporter in the Senate than the person you’re looking at, but I repeat, this is the last chance for the Iraqis to step up and demonstrate this government can function,” [Mitch McConnell] said. “The message to the Iraqi government could not be more clear.”

This week - Iraqi leaders have failed to take advantage of a reduction in violence to make adequate progress toward resolving their political differences, Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said Thursday.

How many “last chances” does Iraq get, Mitch?

Seems like daddy W would have made serving in Iraq a prerequisite to granting “silver spoon junior” permission to marry his daughter.

    Oh those chicken hawks!

I like how you point to people’s articles where they claim the rumors of Bush’s coke use is absolute truth, but that Obama “supposedly” used cocaine… or to quote the first author “possible”… that’s funny, since Obama has admitted it and wrote about it.

But then again, after last week, I guess none of us can believe anything Obama says. I can’t wait till the proof he sit through some of those comments sinks him out of the race. No amount of playing the race victim card will make up for getting caught in bold-faced lies (”I never heard about those comments till I was running for president” and “I would have walked out”) when you entire campaign is based on being something different.

Meanwhile John McCain continues to unapologetically align himself with a radical cleric who has insulted my faith and its members, many of whom typically vote Republican, all without so much as a bat of your pretty, privileged eyelash. Of course, I’m sure you were just as outraged when a rape-apologist and well-known theocrat was recently running for president.

I wonder if Hanoi will release any more tapes on POW McCain
