15 million Democratic voters and 8 million Republican voters? Generally, the number of votes a Party receives in a Primary is a good predictor of how that Party will do in the general election. The Republican candidates have the eampaign expense money, but the Democratic candidates have the voters.

Something is happening out there in America...

Twice as many Democrats as Republicans participated in the Iowa caucuses. Almost three times as many Democrats as Republicans participated in the Nevada caucuses. 50,000 more Democratic voters than Republicans turned out in New Hampshire, and 85,000 more Democrats than Republicans voted in South Carolina.

And as we saw in the wake of Super Tuesday this week -- where 15 million Democratic voters came to the polls compared to 8 million Republican voters -- a Democratic wave is clearly building across the country

Dear Mr. U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield,

I was wondering if you would stimulate Mr. McConnell so that he would might work with Mr. Reid to move the stimulus legislation through the Senate. I understand that the rule of thumb is to stall all bills and I also understand the frustration of them Dems wanting to add a tad more for the most needy but if you could expedite my $600, I'd be eternally grateful. I really would like to quickly endorse and forward it to Mr. Horne prior to the November elections. Thanks for your prompt attention and I'm sure that Mr. McConnell will once again enjoy being stimulated by you.

Your Truly,

Andy

Perhaps a revised version

Exxon Eddie:
"Over the years, the American economy has had its ups and downs. Prior to the Bush/Cheney/McConnell years, we enjoyed a strong and robust economy, with impressive job growth over that decade. Today, we are losing jobs and our economy continues to fall at a frightful pace. The steps that are being taken by the government are designed to provide the necessary stimulus to give our economy a strong boost and prevent a recession. Accordingly, we have implemented our "$600 in every pot" program to help appease the working class during an election year that we depend on to assure that the wealthy continue to prosper."
