DEMOCRACY AT WORK IN KENTUCKY!!

Jim Pence January 31st, 2008

I just talked to Heather Ryan ( The Young Lady that Senator Mitch McConnell got fired from her job) on the phone and she is currently building her campaign web-site, in her home, that’s in Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, on her computer that sits next to her kitchen table. The web-site will be up soon with all of her contact information.
This is in contrast to to her opponent, Ed Whitfield that doesn’t live in Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, who will have professionals building his campaign web site.
According to some sources Ed Whitfield owns a Newport Beach, California condo but in Kentucky only owns “a lot in Madisonville” worth between $1,000 and $15,000 and nothing more.
It’s odd that no show Ed Whitfield is so enamored with California. Is it possible that we have another Larry Craig right here in Kentucky????
Stay tuned, we’re gonna find out!!!!
Just for the record, for the Whitfield folks that have the ability to read, check out the photo below. Do you see bitch anywhere on the sign? If you don’t then shut the f$%# up!!!!!!
By the way Ed., can you count to 12????

I’ve noticed that some of our resident trolls who have accused these two young ladies of having that sign have yet to respond to:

So, Clarity, you were there? So were you a Mitch donor, or were you a theater employee or what?

That was directed towards the following troll, who has been absent since posting:

Anyone who argues that she did not have this sign was CLEARLY not there. One may argue his opinion all day long, but that doesn’t change certain facts. To do so only loses credibility for your cause. Please stick to what you know, Jim et al. From the photos at the top of the page, I don’t recall seeing any of your faces there.

We do have a few commenters posting under like 5 different names, so it does make it confusing to keep track!

  2. Christinaon 31 Jan 2008 at 2:21 pm

Hey, WTF was the comment about Larry Craig and California referring to? Cause, you know, I’m from CA and I lived in Huntington Beach, which is close to Newport, and I just don’t get it. Splain to this new KY resident please.

  3. shawn dixon's hairon 31 Jan 2008 at 3:03 pm

Seriously, why do you guys waste your time with this. You’re out of touch with the rest of KY. McConnell will get re-elected with more than 57% of the vote and Whitfield will win big as well.

  4. shawn dixon's hairon 31 Jan 2008 at 3:04 pm

Just for the record, for the Whitfield folks that have the ability to read, check out the photo below. Do you see bitch anywhere on the sign?

Funny, yesterday you used improper gramar in your post entitled, “Whitfield thinks the US spends TO much money on Homeland security”.

    I believe that’s “Too much”.

    Nice try.

Thanks for the grammar corrections. That being said please continue your homophobic agenda and lies about children carrying signs.

  6. Tyleron 31 Jan 2008 at 4:12 pm

Jim, God forbid you make a typographical error.

  7. Clarityon 31 Jan 2008 at 4:35 pm

Had you been there, you would have seen the MULTIPLE signs, but nice try, kiddos.

Deflect and accuse, deflect and accuse.

  8. Terrion 31 Jan 2008 at 4:49 pm

Proof, Clarity? Were you there? Were you a passer-by, a member of McConnell’s staff, an employee/board member of the theater? You’re the only one doing any accusing.

  9. veton 31 Jan 2008 at 4:52 pm

Clarity were you at the board meeting when she was fired??

  10. M. Gavneron 31 Jan 2008 at 5:53 pm

McConnell is going to win 57% of the vote?!

WTF? Are you a fortune teller or just plain nuts?!

Excuse me, but, Mitch’s “bitch”, that being Ernie Fletcher, was soundly defeated in November!

That would be a serious “wake-up call” to me that you “boneheads” better come with something better than “fortune telling”!

  11. shawn dixon's hairon 31 Jan 2008 at 5:56 pm

    homophobic? Children carrying signs?

I never said a thing about either. Where is this homophobic stuff coming from?

I am actually one republican who wishes we would stop worrying about the social issues so much. Most american’s don’t wake up every day worried about gay folks or abortion. I differ with my party on those issues. I think we should concentrate on what effects/affects us the most.

Further, I’m still waiting on the evidence that McConnell got Ryan fired.

  12. shawn dixon's hairon 31 Jan 2008 at 5:58 pm

And in fact, i support benefits for domestic partners. A lot of folks really got screwed over after 9/11 because people who cared nothing about their siblings or children got a lot of money from family members that didn’t care about. The people who cared for them (partner) got nothing and didn’t get to have a role in their burial.

NOw, I don’t understand homosexuality, I think it’s weird. But it’s not my place to judge. Certainly not my place to say that you can’t leave your inheritance to the person you care about the most.

  13. shawn dixon's hairon 31 Jan 2008 at 6:00 pm

#10- Ernie was doomed from the start. He was a joke. In fact, Mitch tried to get another person nominated but didn’t want to risk pissing off the republicans who actually liked Ernie.

  14. YellerDawgon 31 Jan 2008 at 6:23 pm

    11. Shawn Dixon’s Hair;
Did you listen to the audio where her board very plainly states that McConnell’s Chiefs of Staff in Louisville and Washington D.C. called around expressing concern about the incident and that they wanted it taken care of? I heard it, where were you?

  15. tristateareasvoiceon 31 Jan 2008 at 6:24 pm

Where is the big Hill Billy Report on Governor Steve Beshear slashing education budgets, cutting teachers salaries and community college funding.

Where is the reports on Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo and Governor Steve Beshear being sued by fellow Democrats over Dan Mongiardo’s former senate seat.

    Where are the reports?

  16. veton 31 Jan 2008 at 6:31 pm

    tristateareasvoice
where the pictures of Ernie going around the state giving out checks to each county in Ky???
now we are having to pay for his trying to buy votes

  17. andy42302on 31 Jan 2008 at 6:59 pm

To Shawn the Hair guy. In reference to your statement: “You’re out of touch with the rest of KY”, could it be that in November of 2006, Kentucky may have been out of touch with the rest of the Union? Considering that Republican Northup and Joe Bowen were washed away in that tsunami and Fletcher has now taken a spot in the Republican Governor’s has been section, could it be that the tide has turned in KY? It’s a much less a friendly environment now than it was then. Is another Daschle moment an impossibility? The peasants are revolting man. They’re tired of the rich man’s lies and sending their children off to die the rich mans wars.

  18. tristateareasvoiceon 31 Jan 2008 at 7:19 pm

Ernie is gone. And didn’t Jody Richards and his gang have to vote on all that money for those checks? Ernie could not just go out and give out money with out the legislative branches approval?

I want to know why Governor Steve Beshear is cutting education first and deep? What about the teachers and students.

Vet what do you have to say about Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo and Governor Steve Beshear being sued by fellow Democrats over Dan Mongiardo’s former senate seat?

  19. veton 31 Jan 2008 at 7:44 pm

about the same way as they are trying to decide for us who is to running against Mitch,”Lunsford DINO”

did Mitch and Eddie cover up the Indians casino deal with Jack Abramoff???

The American Gaming Association — the casino industry — is covering its bets and appointing D. Brett Hale as vice president of government affairs. Hale, who joins the trade association next month, is now chief of staff to Rep. Ed Whitfield (R-Ky.) and formerly served as an aide to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)and to former senator Slade Gorton (R-Wash.).

By the way that should be spelled grammar for those interested in proper spelling.

    shawn dixon’s hair Says:

Why? Fear mongering on “social issues” is one of the few things Republicans do well. Winess their continuing recent jihad against “partner benefits”

    shawn dixon’s hair Says:

Well something we can agree on. Not completely though. I think Ernie became a joke as his administration stumbled on in that classic rightwinger’s ignorant arrogance.

    tristateareasvoice Says:

I was kind of bummed out by this myself. I mean not raise taxes on cigarettes, maybe another 20c. pack? It would still have been lower than most surrounding states. And would hopefully have had the bonus of making some quit. How about raising gas taxes 5c? I drive 30 miles each day to work and I’d have been willing to pay the extra. I know I’ll get some rants directed at me but why not quit warehousing people in prison and jail for petty drug crimes? I saw that that was one of the few items in the Beshear budget that got padded pretty good. I could go on and on. Your comment made me remember some things that I was thinking as I read about Beshears budget cuts a few days ago.

  24. Deanon 31 Jan 2008 at 8:19 pm

    Oops, that should have been:

“I mean why not raise taxes on cigarettes, maybe another 20c. pack?”

I’m sure this is a dead thread anyway so no big deal.

  25. Deanon 31 Jan 2008 at 8:23 pm

Oh Crap! I’m forgetting the Dem debate! I’m outta here!

  26. Shawn Dixon's Hairon 31 Jan 2008 at 9:17 pm

#14 would you please post a link to this audio. I’ve been watching this site since the “event” happened and have yet to see this audio.

    Link please.

Further, I’ll get on my party for being devisive with “social issues” when the democrats stop the fear and hate mongering with social security and other entitlement programs and the race bating… Both parties have HUGE flaws…

By the way. I say raise the cig. tax 50 cents and raise the gas tax 5 cents to help with the roads.

But remember, Beshear has an interest in keeping our state broke, he owes the casino interests that got him elected. Further, his right hand man jonathan Miller said it best, “we’re a poor state, we’re supposed to have dems in charge”

it’s in beshear’s best interest to make sure the poor stay poor and don’t go to college. That’s the democratic way. Why? Because when people start making money they start voting republican..

  27. M. Gavneron 31 Jan 2008 at 9:29 pm

    Shawn Dixon’s Hair,

Interesting, I make well over $26+ dollars an hour and I haven’t changed my way of voting.

But, in the same token, I know how Republicans operate.

  28. Shawn Dixon's Hairon 31 Jan 2008 at 9:50 pm

Good for you, look at the stats. The more you make, the more likely you are to vote republican. So Mr. Miller was right. It is in his best interest to keep people poor. So his party can keep getting re-elected.

    Link to the audio please.

Hey could I see a copy of those stats please. Thanks. Otherwise I’d believe you’re full of B.S.

So Mr. Miller was right. It is in his best interest to keep people poor. So his party can keep getting re-elected.

    Cough!..Bullsh*t!..Cough!

  31. Deanon 01 Feb 2008 at 8:01 am

The more you make, the more likely you are to vote republican.

Personally(being a Liberal Democrat) I believe the more ignorant you are the more likely you are to vote Repub. But that’s just me. I also think being conservative is a genetic thing. It would explain the blinders. By the way I don’t even know what this:

“when the democrats stop the fear and hate mongering with social security and other entitlement programs and the race bating…

    Means.
I don’t know whether to laugh or groan.

  32. Deanon 01 Feb 2008 at 8:04 am

Actually I’ll add that Mister Miller’s(my) party keeps getting “re-elected” because someone always has to come in and clean up the Republican’s mess after they’ve been in office for a while.

  33. Dean from workon 01 Feb 2008 at 8:09 am

I wanted to revisit this thread this morning before starting my work day.
Before i leave it for good I wanted to mention the debate last night. It was excellent. I think Obama edged out Hillary but I don’t mind voting for either. That’s it…

  34. shawn dixon's hairon 01 Feb 2008 at 9:05 am

Blinders? Really, you’re the one that seems to ignore any pos. that there is ANYTHING wrong with dems…

In response to YellerDawg in #14, that audio tape is heavily edited from an hour and half meeting on a tape recorder that Heather sneaked into the meeting. Why doesn’t Heather release the entire tape so we can hear the unedited truth of what went on in the meeting? I’ll ask her what she asked McConnell. Heather, what are you trying to hide? It appears that the Republicans are not the only ones capable of underhanded tricks and distorting the truth to fit their own agenda.

Lost even more respect for her considering that she edited the tape. If you think we’re dumb enough to not hear the cuts you are foolling yourself.

As usual, only giving one side of the story.

She can protest all she wants, she can make a fool of herself all she wants.

But you can’t do it in and outside of the place that you work when you work at the liberty of a board.

  41. kilowaton 04 Feb 2008 at 10:46 am
