Who’s Your Daddy?

Republicans sure love their daddy state, don’t they? Oh, sure, they’ll raise stink about big government when it comes to public health or helping families, but damned if they’re not itching to bend you over their knees for a fierce spanking when it comes to issues of bodily autonomy or privacy.

Okay if it’s a good idea to make smokers pay more for health insurance it’s a damn good idea to make sure our tax dollars aren’t going to the health care of someone who’s killing himself with illicit drugs!
Wait - aren’t paranoid republicans supposed to be down with big brother if big brother is private, and against big brother if big brother is the government? Of course, hypocrisy is nothing new to Herodotus. I’m unaware of any private insurance company that does mandatory drug testing, at any rate.
EVERY private insurance company does drug tests before life insurance. Some do so before health insurance.
Funny. I pay for my insurance policies and none have required drug testing. Keep on trying, though!
