Quick Hit: Neither Of, Nor By, Nor For

Terri Whitehouse January 7th, 2008

Today’s New York Times has an extensive article giving face to the Indiana voter ID case that will be heard by SCOTUS this week. (h/t: Crooks & Liars)

Meanwhile, Kentucky remains one of only three states that intentionally prevents felons from voting once their time is served. Hopefully, this will change soon.

In other SCOTUS news, Justice Antonin Scalia worries himself over any actions that might render a longer moratorium on executing people.

Oh please. You can’t seriously think there is anything wrong with requiring a valid picture ID to vote.

It’s like those states that still don’t require any ID… the only reason they don’t require them is SO THEY CAN LET PEOPLE VOTE MULTIPLE TIMES.
Traditionally this is the Democratic party that fights for this right to steal elections.

Over 70% of Americans agree that valid ID’s should be use to ensure true elections (just another of the many things Democrats are out of step with the country on)

Here’s some examples of the Democrats breaking laws to give votes to illegals and non-registered voters:

These were just a few. It is obvious the Democrats want to make it so that they get a boost from two of their big support groups: sympathetic illegal aliens and convicted criminals.

It is truely sad that the Democrats have to turn to these groups to win. They need these groups to balance out good law-abiding Americans’ votes. It is perhaps sadder that even they know that these law-breakers overwhelmingly support them.

Oh, I forgot, do you know who is leading the effort in Kentucky to allow fellons to vote? Brent Yonts, who sponsored a bill last year to let fellons (like his son) vote. How nice! Him and his convicted murderer son could ride to the polling place in Greenville together!

Brings a warm feeling to your chest doesn’t it?

Oh please. You can’t seriously think there is anything wrong with requiring a literacy test to vote.

It’s like those states that still require tests…the only reason they require them is SO THEY CAN WEED OUT THE PEOPLE WHO DON’T DESERVE TO VOTE ANYWAY BECAUSE THEY ARE DUMB AND CAN’T READ. Traditionally, this is the Republican party that fights for the right to be full of shit.

Yes, Herodotus, I am aware of the legislation’s sponsors. You should also be aware of the exclusion for “idiots and insane persons,” so you better keep walking the straight and narrow yourself.

    Our Hero (swoon on cue)
Protecting us from ourselves because he knows better - unless we become Republicans
For those of us who have know Brent since before he went to VietNam, and know of his support for the issue prior to his son’s misfortune … Hero is as hollow as the old tree on the back forty.

It has occurred to me recently: that Republican cultists raze that which they don’t understand and that Democrats raise communities.

    Build-on brothers and sisters!

    No choice?
    No democracy.
    Know choice; know deomcracy!

    Hairy-dots-orus.

If the Iraqis can solve the multi-voting problem, I think we can to. You’d look good with a purple finger.

You’re seriously going to cite Michelle Malkin and World Net Daily up in this piece? Please.
