Still, Iowa wasn’t a winner-take-all contest. I understand Obama gets almost 40% of Iowa’s convention delegates, with John getting about 30% and Hillary getting about 30%. New Hampshire is more like a winner-take-all contest.

Good point Val. I think that the general public has had it’s feel of fear mongering and exploiting 9/11. This is somewhat evident in the way Rudy’s numbers have hit rock bottom. It worked in 2000 and 2004 and I think voters have learned that we were had. Maybe “rolling the dice” is better than constantly losing. We have no choice but to change.

I think an interesting result of Iowa is a lot of people talking about attack ads and how it hurts candidates that use them (Romney/Huck). Now there’s something that will hurt McConnell! I hope this trend keeps up through the general election and hurts Mitch in his campaign as much as anything. Take away the attack ad model and what does he have? Nuttin’ honey!

I was quite surprised to see Clinton finish 3rd behind a victorious Obama and 2nd place Edwards.

I’m sure Team McConnell is already thinking of idiotic nonsense to associate a potential Obama nomination, though.
