Pat Boone was one of the kooks who claimed “AIDS is God’s punishment on Gays.”
Haven’t people had enough of these inept politicians who were elected simply because of their religious beliefs?
They ’believe’ Iraq has WMD, so we get into an unnecessary war!
They ‘believe’ Iran has nuclear weapons, so now we are going to start another war!
They ‘believe’ all sorts of nonsense, and our country suffers for it!

The biggest idiot in all this is Robbie Rudolph. You and I were both there at Fancy Farm when he gave his Fancy Dan speech, which went over with the crowd — even with the Republicans — about as well as interracial marriage in a fundamentalist Baptist church. It was so bad that even Bill Bartlemann of the Paducah Sun admitted in the comments of this blog that he found it inane and painful to listen to, and Bartlemann is as politically tone deaf as he is old. Rudolph’s “San Francisco treats” comment this weekend only goes to show not only how unoriginal Kentucky Republicans can be but how bewildered they are by the changing political environment.

After the Republicans get trounced on Tuesday, we get to read months worth of GOP tripe commentary on how Kentucky’s still a conservative state, even though it hates Republicans.
